The Members were welcomed by the Chairman Nana Gentimi and everyone was happy to meet in person again.

2023 iag 03The members of the Board present were Nana Gentimi , Bjorg Walstad, Mida Rodrigues, Martine Levy, Anthony Florizoone, and ex officio, the Chairman of the ISGF World Committee, Elin Richards. Jane was connected by Zoom. Also 10 members were present and 2 members of the GA by proxy.

The Chairman asked everyone to observe a few moments of silence to allow her to recall the names of those who have left us. Austria: Werner Weilguny, (2021), Helmut Hauer, France: Paulli Martin (2022), Suisse : Max Nydegger (2023).

The Minutes of the 2021 General Assembly, the Report 2021 and 2022 as well as the Financial Report 2021 and 2022 were presented and approved.
The GA approved the nomination of 2 new Board members, Cécile Bellet from Belgium and Anne Haastrup-Nielsen from Denmark. Both nominations were warmly welcomed. The members were informed that Doris Stockman from Finland, wishes to withdraw from the General Assembly and remains an individual Life member. The Board expressed their thanks for her contribution.
It was confirmed that despite the Covid situation, during the years 2021 and 2022, IAG welcomed 20 new individual members and 2 Associations from which 6 life members.
Reports were given on projects undertaken in 2021 and 2022. These projects were actually a follow-up to previous projects, in Kenya and Ivory Coast. Although the projects were different in these 2 African countries and cover different needs, the results are very impressive and the work being done is substantial and in the right direction.
Pierre Decoene, the Chairman of the ISGF Europe Committee , had forwarded an email sent by the IAG Board, to the Chairmen and International Secretaries of Europe Region asking them to find groups of Scouts and Guides in their countries, who would wish to apply for a grant for projects complying with the prerequisites as described in the relevant IAG application form. The feedback to this appeal was very successful. So far IAG has received 7 answers. And more are expected.
The next event of IAG interest will be the ISGF Europe Conference in Ranum, Denmark, 30 July-3 August 2023, where members of IAG Board will participate. A very good opportunity for a presentation of IAG projects, recruiting of new members and a meeting with members and friends.
The date of the 2024 General Assembly will be announced later this year when the annual ISGF World Committee meeting is confirmed.
