Information International Development Fund
The International Development fund (IDF) offers donations to selected projects of Scout/Guide Associations affiliated to the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) and to the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM).
It also provides some practical financial support for the development and expansion of the International Scout and Guide Fellowship (ISGF).
In 1996, the ISGF was able to make its first donation of Belgian Francs 10,000 (€250,00) to WOSM and WAGGGS World Bureaus, for their development program. In subsequent years, donations of €1860 per organisation have been made annually to these bodies.
In 2010, the ISGF World Committee decided to set up a team, the ISGF International Project Team (IPT), committed in the examination of submitted projects and develop an inventory of the International Projects that ISGF and its members undertake around the world. This new working frame gave all ISGF members and other interested parties the opportunity to contribute to the projects that they prefer with a greater freedom of choice. It also offered a better visibility of ISGF’s contributions to WOSM and WAGGGS associations for their proposed projects.
At the 28th ISGF World Conference in Bali, Indonesia in 2017 it was decided that in future ISGF would offer grants from the IDF, proportional to the grants previously given, to WAGGGS and WOSM associations for selected projects.
The IDF derives its income entirely from donations of NSGFs, individuals and the Stamp Bank.
