Fellowship Day

On October 25th we celebrate the day that the International Scout and Guide Fellowship was founded in Lucerne, Switzerland in 1953. Eighteen (18) countries are listed as founder members: Austria, Belgium, Costa Rica, Denmark, Finland, France, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxemburg, The Netherlands, Norway, Pakistan, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland and United Kingdom.
In 1965 the General Assembly held in Brussels adopted the proposal to have a Fellowship Day organised by each Guild on October 24/25 corresponding to United Nations Day (October 24th) and the date of the Foundation of the International Fellowship (October 25th)
