Djerba is a Tunisian island and the largest island of North Africa in the Gulf of Gabès, off the coast of Tunisia. Citing its long and unique history, Tunisia received in 2023 UNESCO World Heritage status protections for the island.
The Tunisian Scout and Guide Fellowship is the host of this gathering and the event is open to all ISGF members worldwide.

The 17th Med Gathering and 6th South Europe Sub-Regional Gathering took place at Protaras (Famagusta District) Cyprus, from 24 to 29 October 2022. From early morning on the 24th October, participants started coming and by the end of the day we had 78 participants from 10 countries including Cyprus. The participating countries were: Cyprus, Greece, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Libya, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland and United Kingdom. Also present at this Gathering was the Chairman of the World Committee, Elin Richards and Vice-Chairman Ana Rodrigues.

Cyprus is the 3rd largest island in the Mediterranean and it is situated at the Crossroads of three Continents, Europe, Asia and Africa. This geographic position has since antiquity played an important part in the island’s turbulent history. Its prehistoric age inhabitants were joined by the Mycenaeans
Greek 3500 years ago, who introduced and established their civilization, thus permanently instilling the island’s Greek roots. Many other cultures followed since then, including Phoenicians, Assyrians, Franks, Venetians, Ottomans and British, all leaving behind visible traces of their passage. The island is an open-air museum.

The Workshop in Porto, Portugal has been postponed to further notice, due to the corona vírus. As soon as we have the new date we will get back to you.

The Southern Europe subregion workshop, organised by FEGA (Federação de Escoteiros e Guias Adultos), will focus on environment. From 27 till 31 March 2020 in the city of Porto in Portugal, the workshop will bring together ISGF members from Europe.

Our journey has come to its end.
After three years of expectation, the moment had come for us to welcome our friends from countries of the Mediterranean and from many other countries in Athens! The 16th Mediterranean Gathering and the 5th Southern Europe Gathering were held from 19-24 October 2018 in Athens, at the Titania Hotel. After that, many participants took a trip to the Peloponnese, based on the city of Kalamata (24-27 October 2018).

We wish to thank all of you who have so far registered for the 16th Mediterranean / 5th South Europe Gathering, to be held in Athens, Greece, October 19-24, 2018. We would like to remind you that the remaining amount of your participation fee is to be paid by July 31, 2018.

The organizers of the 16th Mediterranean Gathering have published the first Newsletter about this event. You will have a great time during this event that will take place from 19 – 24 October 2018 in the city of Athens, Greece.

The 1st get together of the volunteers, that will support the organization of the “16th Mediterranean meeting and the 5th South-European Meeting of the International Scout and Guide Fellowship,” that will be organized in Athens, from the 19th until the 24th of October 2018, took place on Monday 6th of February 2017, at the Headquarters of the Greek Scouts. The meeting was called by the “Organizing Committee of the 16th Mediterranean Meeting”. The Organizing Committee was formed by the Joint Committee of Former Scouts and Guides (ΕΣΠΠΟΕ) that will be responsible for this international event.
