Portuguese Fellowship participated in JOTA/JOTI
The catholic adult scout association from Portugal, the Fraternidade de Nuno Álvares (FNA), took active part in the 67th JOTA/JOTI, the Jamboree on the Air and on the Internet. The yearly biggest scout activity, that takes place around the world, through the radio waves and internet, on the 3rd weekend of October.
From the 18th to the 20th of October 2024, thousands of scouts and guides connected and communicated, strengthening bounds and creating ways of knowing each other better.
FNA had 19 stations in different regions of Portugal, creating a strong network of communication, which always involves the juvenile association, that visited the stations and could speak to other scouts from other parts of Portugal but also from other countries. The Nuno Álvares Fellowship had a good number of technically skilled “radio scouts” in such a way that one of us was invited to be in charge of the national radio station of our juvenile association, the Corpo Nacional de Escutas (FNE).
Most probably, FNA is the only adult scout association in the world that is actively involved in this scout activity.
