Toys collected by UK Fellowship distributed to refugee children
The Fellowship Toy collection by the National Scout and Guide Fellowship UK has had a great start on the 60th ISGF annversary with members using Skype to each other, around the world. Local Scouts from Burghfield, a village in West Berkshire, brought toys and they also enjoyed a chocolate fountain with the Chairman.
The Pitt Rivers Museum in Oxford, also collecting toys, is working with Aviation without Borders in the UK, who have received a grant of six thousand US dollars from the International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading (ISTAT Foundation) to cover the freight costs to Jordan. These toys with a weight of more than 800 kilos arrived in Jordan and were distributed to the children in the refugee camps.
The UK Fellowship made an excellent campaign and they want to share their material as an example.
