The ISGF Arab region has been very active during this pandemic. But celebrating "World Humanitarian Day" has a very strong meaning in these times of the Covid 19 pandemic. It was after August 19, 2003 when about thirty people from the United Nations (UNHCR) and humanitarian organizations died in Baghdad (Iraq) after the explosion of a truck perpetrated by militants that the United Nations established this “World Humanitarian Day” of August 19.
It is about paying tribute to the contribution of aid workers around the world. Humanitarian aid is a way of helping vulnerable populations in the world (poor, disaster victims (disasters, war), pandemics, refugees etc ...Congratulations to the Arab Region for this commitment which could be an example for the other regions of the ISGF.
