On 14 July 2020 Mr. Fathi Farghali, chairman ISGF Arab Region opened the online cultural activities evening organized by the Community Service committee in cooperation with NSGF Lebanon.

Afterwards Mr Fouad Fleifel, National President of NSGF Lebanon spoke about the efforts of the ISGF Arab Region concerning the Covid-19 pandemic. He asked everyone to get together and to address the scourge of drug addiction for a cleaner generation.

Then, Dr. Ahmed El-Tatry, Vice-Chairman of the Community Service committee of the ISGF Arab Region Committee explained that the current state of addiction calls for an alarming situation. Addiction is a condition in which the addict needs care from society and the family as addiction damages family and society.

Dr. Ali Al-Qaq, a fellow surgeon at the Royal College of Britain explained that addiction is a broad and complex world. The youth who have fallen into the clutches of this dangerous affliction is the main target. He emphasized on the importance on monitoring the youth, noticing abnormalities such as personality disturbances, escaping from school and absenteeism from home.

The meeting was closed by Mr. Mesfer Al-Ghobashy, Secretary General of the Community Service committee who thanked all the participants in this meeting.
