Celebration Independence Day India with the Greater Mumbai Fellowship
The Greater Mumbai India Scout and Guide Fellowship celebrated the 73rd Independence Day of India on August 15, 2019 by the scouts and guides and children of the Maratha High School and St. Vincent De’ Paul Schools (SVS). It was an exciting programme.
As per the tradition, the flag hoisting was done by two students who obtained the highest marks in their 10th examination. The children presented very inspiring speeches and songs on the theme of Independence Day such as women empowerment and national missions of clean India, save water, green India and gender equality. This exhibited the new emerging mindset and spirit of our children.
In the event were also present Fellowship members, school trustees, parents and school staff. Five Girl Guides were felicitated on having passed the state award tests (Rajya Puraskar). The Greater Mumbai unit of India Scout and Guide Fellowship is sponsoring training of the children and financially supporting them to attend camps.
