Information about the Central Europe sub-region

For the first time, the Central European Subregion had invited to three meetings on 19 - 26 September 2021: the 10th Subregion Conference, the 6th gathering and the 8th Workshop of the European Region. The venue was the sailing centre of the Polish Scouts in Puck/Poland. This place was the home of more than 40 participants from 8 European countries for seven days. Unfortunately, there were also cancellations from two countries due to the corona pandemic.

This year Poznan, the capital of the Polish Province Great Poland, hosted the 9th Conference of our Central Europe Sub Region (CESR) from 5 – 9 September 2018. All delegates and observers and guests had been accommodated in the student’s hotel of the nearby university, very close to the historic centre of the town. More than 60 participants – delegates, observers and guests- took part in the conference and 10 of our member countries had been present, either personally or by proxy. Only Latvia was absent without a valid excuse.
Poznań is a city in western Poland. The city lies on the river Warta and has 541,561 inhabitants, making it the fifth largest city in the country. It was once the capital of Poland and is still the capital of the Wielkopolska region.
The huge Old Town Square (Stary Rynek) is one of Europe’s nicest, and is lined by fabulous historic attractions.
Central Europe Sub Region organizes together with the Austrian Fellowship and the district Upper Austria the 5th Friendship Meeting.
From Wednesday, September 23rd to Sunday, 27th September 2015 the 8th Conference of the Central Europe Sub Region (CESR) took place in seminar centre Zeillern castle in the province of Lower Austria. There were 80 participants from 12 countries – Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Estonia, Germany, Liechtenstein, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Switzerland and United Kingdom.
Where: The 8th Conference will take place in Schloss Hotel Zeillern in Austria. The venue is 5 kms west of the railway station in the city of Amstetten. This place can be reached when travelling by plane to Linz, bus to main railway station Linz and from there a direct train to Amstetten. Duration 26 minutes. See also www.oebb.at or www.westbahn.at
ISGF Central Europe Sub-region organizes the 4th Friendship Gathering that will be held in Lübeck, Germany from 21 – 25 May 2014.
Lübeck will host the International Hanseatic Days for the first time since 1983. The whole of Lübeck will be involved, with the city presenting itself as the “Host of Hearts”.
From 15-19 August 2012 eighty six (86) participants from 15 different countries gathered in Pilsen, Czech Republic, for the 7th Conference of the sub-region Central Europe (SRZE). Also a group of former Scouts and Guides from Afghanistan but living many years in Germany and in Strasbourg (France) joined this Conference.
The Czech National Scout and Guide Fellowship invite you to join this Conference which is supported by the Central Europe sub-regional Committee. Come to see Plzen. The city is known worldwide for Pilsner Beer and to have a taste of its cozy, friendly and hospitable atmosphere. We are sure that the friendships and contacts you make during the conference will last in the future.
