The National Scout and Guide Fellowship of Sweden (St Georgs Scoutgillen i Sverige) will organize the Gathering in Gothenburg, the second-largest city in Sweden situated on the west coast of Sweden. It is now 18 years, since last time the gathering was held in Sweden. In 2000 we met in Mora, in the middle of Sweden but now the Gathering will be held in a major city with all the possibilities and challenges incurred by that.

When: Friday 24 August – Tuesday 28 August 2018

Where: Gothenburg, Sweden

Venue: Scandic Crown Hotel, Gothenburg

Theme: Co-operation with scouts and guides

Costs gathering package inclusive food: SEK 5,500 in a shared double room or SEK 8,000 in a single room when staying in the Scandic Crown Hotel from Friday afternoon till Tuesday breakfast

Costs gathering package if own accommodation: SEK 3,000 (inclusive food at the Scandic Crown hotel)

Costs gathering package if own accommodation: SEK 1,500 (food not included)

Deadline registration: 31 March 2018 but extended till 15 April 2018

Deadline payment: 30 April 2018

Activities:
Theme workshop, traditional disk throwing competition, guided boat tour in Gothenburg area. On Sunday you may choose out of many activities like a visit to the local Scout museum, scouting activities in a scout cabin in the forest, a church walk or art walk, Volvo museum, botanical gardens, World Culture museum, Universum or the Gunnebo summer palace and in the evening you may visit Liseberg, the largest amusement park of the Nordic countries. Of course there will be more group activities and a campfire.
