The 2nd Caribbean Gathering was held in Willemstad, Curacao from 11 – 15 September 2013 and ended with a swinging carnival party. A total of 131 participants from 9 countries from Aruba, Chile, Curacao, Haiti, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Suriname and USA.
The host organization Copernicia, the NSGF of Curacao, had made an excellent balance of the program. The keynote speaker, Orlando Cuales, spoke about the theme of the Gathering, Together in Unity and Friendship, and …….that nothing is better than a friend. He ended his speech by saying that we need to leave the world better than we found it.
All participants were mixed and new groups were formed with whom they have to discuss topics, fulfilled a quiz and produced new yells.
During the excursion on the island there was a possibility to swim, go snorkeling or just relax. Also a visit to the famous liquor factory Blue Curacao was part of the program.
Most countries and ISGF gave a presentation about their organization and especially during Nations Night groups were dancing, singing and showed an act.

Next 3rd Caribbean Gathering will be held in Surinam in 2016 and organized by the Central Branch group “PAVEURS of Surinam”.
