The ISGF Africa Regional Committee announces their 4th Africa Region Conference. The NSGF of Senegal will be the host for this conference.
Held on the theme: “Discovering the Potentials in Africa” the 3rd Africa Regional Conference took place in the city of Accra from 30 April – 5 May 2019. Participants from Africa National Scout and Guide Fellowships were present but also from Central Branch countries. They came from: Benin, Cape Verde, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, Togo, Uganda and Zambia. Outside the Africa Region there were participants from Libya, Netherlands, Portugal and altogether 59 participants.
The ISGF Africa Regional Committee announces their 3rd Africa Region Conference. The NSGF of Ghana will be the host for this conference.
During the 17th Africa Region Scout Conference held, from 7-11 September 2018, in Harare, Zimbabwe a Certificate of Appreciation was presented to Henry Lukwele, Chairman of the ISGF Africa Region, by Dr. Wayne Davis, Chairman of the Africa Scout Committee.
It is in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, that this Conference place, from 24th February to 1st March 2017. The National Scout and Guide Fellowships of 7 countries were represented in Ouaga : Benin, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Uganda (proxy to Burkina Faso), Zambia (proxy to Ghana). Mida Rodrigues, Chairman of the ISGF World Committee honored the Conference by her presence; she was accompanied by Mathius Lukwago, who, in the World Committee, makes the link with the Africa Committee and helps them in their tasks. Martine Levy was there to ensure the interpretation French-English-French.
The Cardinal Paul Zoungara Center was an ideal place for the meeting; vast tree-lined campus, air-conditioned rooms, lodging, restaurant: everything was assembled so that the Conference runs smoothly.
The 2nd Africa Regional Conference will now take place from 24 February to 1 March 2017 in the capital Ouagadougou of Burkina Faso. The Regional Conference is held once every three years and the last took place in Johannesburg, South Africa. The host committee and the Africa Regional Team have worked very hard to ensure a varied program for further development of the ISGF Africa Region.
On 20 January 2014 the 1st ISGF Africa Regional Conference was opened with the attendance of officials from Scouting and Guiding South Africa. The event takes place at the Scout Centre “Gilwell Florida” in Johannesburg, South Africa and will last until January 25th.
As already announced the 1st Africa Conference will be held from 20 – 25 January 2014 in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The host committee and the Africa Team of World Committee have worked very hard to ensure a varied program for the development of the Africa region and you guessed it (to have fun!).
The third Africa Regional Gathering took place in Lusaka, Zambia from 24th – 28th August 2010. The opening ceremony was a lively event with a group of youngsters from the local Girl Guides.
