It is with great sadness that we announce that our good friend Christos Loukatos has returned to the Creator. He was very loved both in Greece and abroad. He generously offered his long scouting/ fellowship experience with the enthusiasm of a young Scout. He was cosmopolitan, open-hearted, giving and supportive.
For many years he was member of the Joint Committee of Former Scouts and Guides of Greece (ESPPOE), Chairman and later ex-officio Advisor.
In 1991, at the 19th ISGF General Assembly in Halkidiki, Greece, he was elected ISGF World Committee member for the term of office 1991-1996.
In 1998 he was one of the founding members of the International Ambassadors Guild.
He was an ISGF Europe Committee member in the period 2004 – 2010.
In 2006, during the 12th Mediterranean gathering in Acireale, Sicily, he founded together with Mida Rodrigues the Southern Europe Subregion
In 2007 Christos participated in the ISGF Scout & Guide Spirit Flame Project and travelled with the Greek Flame Committee to Alexandria, Egypt to receive it.
He will be missed but will live in our hearts
