Rover Scouts Adam Kilpatrick and Stephen Warren-Smith are riding their recumbent trikes to the World Jamboree in Sweden!
The expedition began on Saturday October 30th 2010, from the South Australia Scout HQ and will finish at Rinkaby, Sweden for the start of the 22nd World Scout Jamboree, 27 July – 7 August 2011. It will involve over 21,000km of self-supported recumbent triking through 22 Scouting countries, over 9 months.

Recumbent trikes are human-powered-vehicles, which have two wheels in front, and one behind. You lay back in the seat and pedal like crazy! The team's trikes have been specially built for this expedition, and will carry their lightweight camping gear, food, water, spare parts and tools, and importantly their cameras so you can see where they go!
Adam and Stephen made the necessary preparations and trained very hard for the expedition, in which they hope to inspire Scouts of all ages in both Australia and overseas.
They have a dedicated website for their expedition, where you can find more information, and follow their progress: www.crazyguyonabike.com/doc/worldtrike and http://www.sa.scouts.com.au/worldtrike
