Azerbaijan group organized winter activity

Azerbaijan_winter_training_2011The Central Branch group, the Azerbaijan National Scout and Guide Union (ANSGU), successfully organized a scout camp in Bakuriani, Georgia. More than 60 people from Azerbaijan, Georgia and Norway took part.

Support to Scouting in Ecuador

First project of local guild in Uruguay

Celebration party Central Branch guild Uruguay

bp_celebration_uruguay_1.jpgOn February 22, under a storm of wind and rain, the local Central Branch guild "Ñacurutú No. 1" in Uruguay organized a party in commemoration of the birth of Baden-Powell and his wife Olave.

How did you celebrate Fellowship Day - CASEGHA, USA

We asked you lately in the publication ISGF Info how you celebrated Fellowship Day on October 25th as Fellowship Day is a very important event so that our ISGF continues and develops in the world.

We start with our Central Branch group CASEGHA, a group of 100 former scouts and girl guides of Haiti, living in New York, USA.

fellowship day caseghaAt our gathering for the International Fellowship Day, we just had an opening ceremony to celebrate the 60 years of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. We wanted also to share with the other members who could not attend World Conference 2008 one of the beautiful morning reflexions.

In the picture, some CASEGHA members after lighting their candles, representing the flames of brotherhood, solidarity, non-violence, liberty, peace, life and hope. We were saying ALL TOGETHER: we raise the Flame of the values of Scouting and Guiding.

Kenya received appreciation certificate

Appreciation Certificate KenyaDuring the WAGGGS Africa Regional Conference 2007 in Zambia, ISGF had the opportunity to hand over an appreciation certificate to the delegation from Kenya Girl Guide Association (KGGA).

This association was very active in getting the Scout & Guide Spirit Flame started from Baden-Powell's grave and brought it to Ethiopia.

South Africa meets ISGF officials

S. Africa meets ISGFDoreen Haddow, National President of Trefoil Girl Guides Association of South Africa (right), met our chairman, Martine Lévy, and General Secretary, Faouzia Kchouk (left) while attending the WAGGGS World Conference in Johannesburg, South Africa in July 2008. She has given her helping hand to this Conference. The three of them discussed the prospects for further development of South Africa for ISGF. Doreen is also our contact person of a group of Central Branch members. She is very eager to recruit more members and to encourage the Trefoil Guilders as well as past members of Guiding to join ISGF.

Uruguay, new member of Central Branch

b-p_square-uruguay.jpgJuan Salazar, candidate for next World Committee visited Uruguay on a mission as liaison person for Central Branch in order to inform an enthusiast group of former Scouts and Guides.

Visit to Fraternidad de Antiguos Scouts y Guias del Uruguay (FASGU)

In December 2007 this group of former Scouts and Guides was constituted in the city of Montevideo, Uruguay. In 2008 inquiries were made in order to incorporate themselves to the International Scout and Guide Fellowship (ISGF).

Leny Doelman, Central Branch Coordinator, provided them with an information kit and she asked Juan Salazar, member of the National Scout and Guide Fellowship in Chile, to assist her to do the follow-up. Juan offered to visit them to inform them about the requirements, benefits and significance in order to become member of ISGF.
