St George's Day - 23 April 2018

The Fellowship in Iceland “St. Georgsgildin á Islandi” had this year no celebration for St. Georg’s day but instead the Guilds decided to do something for and with the younger scouts.

Most of them had an event on April 19 which marks the arrival of the first day of summer. Known in Icelandic as 'Sumardagurinn fyrsti', this holiday is an Icelandic flag day. Most of the Guilds attended scout mass in their hometowns and after that there were several activities for the young ones and their families.
