The state of Victoria in southern Australia has been hit last year with hundreds of bush fires during a record-breaking heat wave. Unfortunately, these fires have proved to be the deadliest in Australia. The cheque for a total of 10,000.00 AU$ was presented to the Victoria Scout and Guide Associations in Victoria in April this year.
The money will be used to purchase new uniforms, badges etc that the Scouts and Guides lost during the disastrous bush fires that ravished Victoria some 18 months ago. The money was donated by the New South Wales Baden Powell Guilds after they saw the devastation caused by the bush fires and the effect that it had on both the Scouts and Guides.
