Tree_planting_BangladeshEach year the National Scout and Guide Fellowship of Bangladesh prepares a program in which we also mention the celebration of Fellowship Day.

This year we selected three days for the celebration of Fellowship Day. On the 1st of October we held a Family get-together and on the 16th October we had a discussion how to plant saplings of mangos and coconut plants combined with a music program.

Generally our government used to supply saplings of various plants and we also buy from a private nursery. Bhowal, Monhoria and Keraniganj are the places where we planted the saplings about 30 kilometers from Dhaka city.  Besides our Fellowship members, the local people of the village spontaneously helped planting 300 mangos and 50 coconut plants on 17th October. The villagers enjoyed seeing the work of our Fellowship members and they appreciated our gesture very much.

It is quite interesting to see the picture of Bangladeshi members of the Scout and Guide Fellowship. It is very important to plant trees to save our earth from further destruction due to recent climate change.
