MASCI, the Italian Fellowship, has collected 33,000 signatures for a petition which they submitted to the Chamber of Deputies in Italy. The signatories of this petition refer to the principles enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Because the high importance of this issue, the National Council of MASCI decided to ask also other brothers and sisters of the Fellowship and belonging to the European Union, to participate to a discussion on this subject, in order to look for possibilities of common actions.
They will proceed the program with the other Scout Associations in Italy. On May 3rd a seminar will be held in Rome for which they invited World Committee and National Presidents of Fellowships of the Europe Union. The following sessions have been planned on May 3:
First session: Dealing with courage and consciousness, the socio-economics moods of our time, welcoming the insights of young people in the prospect of enhancing different cultures
Second session: The synergy between volunteer organizations, testimony of giving for the dignity of the person, freedom and solidarity among people.
Third session: The political-social choices for welcoming migrant brothers in the spirit of friendship among people, for the construction of tomorrows world.
