Scouting in Argentina was officially founded on 4 July 1912 shortly after the publication of “Scouting for Boys” and consists of several independent organizations.
The Scouts y Guias Adultos de Argentina (SGAA), a fast growing Central Branch group, has sent congratulations to the Scouts of Argentina.

Also the Central Branch group in Uruguay, Fraternidad Adultos de Scouts y Adultos de Uruguay (FASGU) celebrated 100 years of activity of Scouting in Uruguay.
In the centre of Montevideo Scouts of all ages sing and danced. They made a giant fleur-de-lys, symbol of Scouting, with more than 30.000 caps of bottles of sodas. See photo.
