Sonderjyllands District is a regional part under Sct. Georgs Gildet, NSGF in Danmark. For some years they have a friendly connection to Gina Chiwela and Mary Nambela from the National Guide and Scout Fellowship of Zambia in Lusaka.
Some years ago, we collected yarn and knitting needles which was sent in 2 big boxes with a total of 200 kilos to Lusaka. The purpose was to learn the girls in the schools to knit. It was there where we learned about the vulnerable children on three schools. NSGF Denmark supported as much as they could – but we learned that school uniforms were a huge problem.

Founder’s Day / Thinking Day message 2024
It was in the year 1857 that everything would start. All of us in the Scout and Guide family can say that we are very lucky in having Baden-Powell in our life. Who would have thought that a person born in the 19th century would still be so up-to-date to our present days? I know that this day is a day of celebration and happy birthday to us all, but the world is going thru a lot of tense moments and more than ever, Scouting and Guiding are being put to the proof… nations are at war just around the corner, people are fleeing from their countries putting their lives at risk.

On behalf of the National Scout and Fellowship of Slovakia, you are welcome to come to the ancient Nitra, the cradle of Christianity in Europe.
An interesting program has been organized for you in the historical part of Nitra, such as the medieval Nitra castle and the bishop's palace, where the bishop still resides today. You will certainly visit the national stud farm in Topoľčianki and the mansion, which was once the summer residence of the President of the Czechoslovak republic and more cultural and historical interested things.
