A new sub-region was launched in the Western Hemisphere region

During an online Gathering on October 9, 2022 a new sub-region was added to the Western Hemisphere Region. This sub-region is called: Central America & Caribbean sub-region (CACSR).

The National President of the Scout and Guide Fellowship Ghana (SGF Ghana) Mr. Prosper Bani has reiterated the need for the government and its development partners to remain mindful of the increasing effects of climate change and its effects on livelihoods. According to him, through effects were being made globally to mitigate the impact of climate change, more needed to be done to salvage the situation.
Every year on 25 October marks the ISGF Founders Day also known as Fellowship Day. This calendar year is marked by activities by our member countries worldwide. The Scout and Guide Fellowship of Ghana (SGF Ghana celebrated the Day with Special kids (kids with Down syndrome).
Fellowship, the meaning of the word is friendship, to belong to something valuable, a group of people with the same purpose and values, community of interest, feeling, activities or experience.
To celebrate Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee (70 years) as the monarch of the UK and her role as Head of the Commonwealth, Scout and Guide Fellowship (SAGF) UK has worked with Fellowship members from our sister Commonwealth countries Ghana, Kenya, New Zealand, Cyprus & Uganda to create the Commonwealth Together Challenge.
During the recent 4th International Secretaries meeting, which was held on September 24, 2022 in the city of Hammamet in Tunisia, a Twinning agreement was signed between NSGF Libya and NSGF Tunisia.
Leonie (Loni) Pünter from Switzerland, ex World Committee member, passed away on 8 September 2022 at the age of 92, same day as Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Sunday, 11 September 2022, a Zoom meeting was held for the members of the Western Europe sub-region (WESR). In 2022 there was no sub-regional gathering because of unforeseen circumstances. The BP Guild of United Kingdom took the lead to organize an online meeting for the members. Before the session was opened we took a moment of silence for Queen Elizabeth II who died on 8 September.
Recently the Local Scout and Guide Fellowship of Tripoli, Libya, took the responsibilities of cooking and preparing 3 meals a day for over 200 boy scouts and their leaders of Tripoli Boy Scout commission in their second- and first-class camp.
