"I went to Portugal for a private visit a few weeks ago.

My friend Mida Rodrigues, who had been the Vice-Chair of the European Committee and who is the present Chair of the A.A.G. (Associacao de Antigas Guias) and her daughter, Ana, had organised for my husband and myself a wonderful tour in the region of Lisbon and also further in the South where we could meet our friend Teresa.

Back to Lisbon, a dinner had been organised with some members of the other organisations of the Federation from Portugal : F.N.A. (Fraternidade de Nuno Alvares) and F.A.E.P. (Fraternal dos Antigos Escoteiros de Portugal)

Very serious dinner with discussions which allowed me to give some information on the activities of the World Committee members and on the propositions of actions which will be done to the National Fellowships in the near future.

You can see on this picture, among those smiling persons, two members of the National Scout and Guide Fellowship of Portugal.

  Believe me, those person are very good in welcoming friends.

Just come and meet them in August during the National Jamboree ; you won’t be disappointed."
