The Belgian Fellowships unite their effort to fight against cystic fibrosis
GOOD TURN OF BELGIUM ON THE OCCASION OF THE 50th Anniversary OF ISGF.
Our three Local Fellowships worked as a team to organise a booster action in aid of the Muco Scouting Trust. The purpose of this Trust, founded some ten years ago, is to be of assistance to children with cystic fibrosis and to offer holidays with adequate medical care or entertainment during their stay at the hospital.
For if medical progress is such that the average age of these children has greatly improved its costs are very high and heavy for families and registered care centres.
VOSOG (Vlaams Oud Scouts en Oud Gidsen) organised a magnificent concert of ancient music in Bruges on 7 February 2004 and attracted a large audience. On 22nd February, the “Forêt de Soignes” Guild from SGAB-OSOGB (Adult Scouts and Guides of Belgium), joined by FEGASEG (Federation of Adult Scouts and Guides Groups)» proposed an afternoon entertainment for all ages : Belgian piano music with poems, a magician, humorous rhymes, and, last but not least, a recital of Country and Cajun music.
Thus, thanks to numerous artists and friends as well as ISGF exceptional support – a very special big thank you to them – we were able to reach the Trust annual financial target : to collect approximately 10,000 euros.
We thank the large audiences that have attended these special events. We have begun to shine in 2004!
