Project with inmates of a remand home in India
It was great day for the 200 inmates of the "Childrens Aid Society's David Sasson School for Juvenile Children" at their remand home at Matunga to celebrate Independance Day in presence of the young and upcoming actor and entertainer endeared and entertained the children with his message of brotherhood and friendship through his wits and comics. These chilren victimised by the Society and even by their own kith and kin have agonising tales of suffering for having been put in this remand home for petty crimes like ticketless travels, loitering in public and many times even exploited by goons, pimps and drug peddlers. For the past fifteen years, they have waited for this bright day when members of the Indian Scout and Guide Fellowship spend few hours with them as their own family members. The Fellowship has been helping very few boys when they pass out from this remand home. But the Fellowship will provide more permanent rehabilitation in near future. The Fellowship provided a feast for all the children. The children presented lovely patriotic songs, skits and self composed poems. These children have plenty of talent and skills.
They have dreams to fly but who would give them wings?
